Natural Acne Treatments & Natural Herbs For Skin Whitening

acnebeforeafterAnyone who suffers from acne knows that there are a multitude of products available.  It can be hard to decide what to use however.  And many people do not want to use the traditional methods that contain a lot of chemicals and may have adverse side affects.  There are natural herbal remedies that may be good alternatives for many acne sufferers.

Herbs have been used in medicines for centuries and some are helpful in treating acne.  Some that may be useful are German Chamomile, Calendula, Witch Hazel, Licorice Root, Flaxseed, Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Green Tea, Tea Tree Oil, Neem and Burdock.  Different herbs work on acne in different ways, some have anti-inflammatory properties, while other work to clean and detoxify.   Lets look at a few of these herbs in more detail.

Tea tree oil is a natural ingredient that has been shown to have positive results for many skin issues including acne.  It comes from a native Australian tree and has been shown to reduce P.acnes and bacteria.  It may be a good alternative to benzyl peroxide which can be harsh on the skin and have adverse side affects.  Tea tree oil can be added to acne treatment creams or used in its oil form.

Green tea is another great herbal remedy.  Many people know about the benefits of drinking green tea, but you may not realize that it is also good for the skin.  You can buy green tea cream for skin care and acne treatment.  It is used to help reduce the oil produced by sebaceous glands.  This reduction in oil helps reduce acne.

Skin Whitening can be done with more natural products and we suggest that you do not use theharsh hydroquinone as it has dangerous side effects that can cause a lot of people lasting negative effects when trying to skin whiten or even just with skin lightening. Some good examples of lightening are willow bark extract, licorice extract, lemon extract and similar herbs and extracts.
